Asteroid Apophis Is Heading Our Way in 2029 - NASA Has a Secret Plan
Apophis is a near-Earth asteroid about 340 metres (≈1,100 feet) across.
On April 13, 2029, it will make an extremely close approach to Earth—passing at about 31,000 km above the surface, closer than many geostationary satellites.
